Matthew 26:36-46
I can't imagine the picture.
Sweat and blood mingled on the brow of a physically ill man.
The agony of what was on the cusp of His timeline writhed inside him.
Most of time we see God's supremacy touch humanity in the form of a baby. Today I saw it in the prayers of a man in a garden. His requests for His Father to take the cup were asked with a burning desire to relieve Himself of the immense weight He carried.
The Matthew Henry Commentary brought up a good point about that cup. He wasn't asked to give up an ocean or even a stream. It was a cup, one He would soon see the bottom of. ~source
