Life as 9

Last week my sister and her family moved in. There has been/will be an adjustment for us all but, I have come to several conclusions about our new number of residence in this domain.

-9x the showers
-9x the laundry
-9x the food
-9x the shoes
-9x the bed space
-9x the seats at our table
-9x the the schedules
-9x the noise
-9x the laughter
-9x the joy
-9x the togetherness
-9x the love

About Me

*sniff sniff* I missed Kelly's Korner link up! Oh well!

So, I thought I would particitpate in Kelly's Korner Show us your life.
Sadly I don't know many men. Sure, I know plenty of married, God-fearing men after God's own heart. But, no availible men that want a life outside of their playing days. 0 commitments. 0 responsibilities other than them selves. I know they are out there somewhere...just not here I guess!

Well, let's start with the basics. I am pretty closed with personal information on here so getting specifics will not happen! =)

I was named after 2 of my great Grandmothers and several other reletives sprinkeld through our family. My name is hyphanated and so I don't leagally have a middle name. Everyone messes this up but I have learned to live with it! =)

My heart belongs primarily to my first Prince, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has captivated me and I am in love with Him. Every day I am learning more about Him and falling more in love with Him and the way He loves me. My prayer is that this continues until God brings along "the one." I want to be completely lost in Him so when I fall in love on this earth I know that the man is falling in love with the version of me God intended.

Secondly, my family has a big part of my heart. I love hanging out with them. Spending time with them. Learning things with them. I love them! I am one of 5 girls. Yes, 5! I am smack dab in the middle. We range in age from 9 - 25.

If you couldn't tell from my side bar, I am in love with another guy. My nephew. My oldest sister and her husband gave birth to my nephew in March of 2009. He has us all completely wrapped!

For as long as I can remember kids have been a part of me. I love being with kids. Watching them change, grow, and learn. I know that God has kids being a part of my future but I don't know how. I am currently a nanny and I love the preparation for the future. I also love the Spanish language. I am currently praying about getting a degree in Spanish. (Side note, I would be a 21 year old freshman!) I have taken a trip to Peru and I am heading back in a few short months! Yipee!

I don't know what God has in store. For as long as I can remember I said I was going to grow up and be a mommy. But, like I said earlier I am missing some key things! If you have any more questions feel free to ask or just read around. I'm pretty much talk about it all! =)

The first of the fourth

July 4th around here tends to be on the bigger end of huge as far as celebrations go! Never dull, full of family and friends, and lots of cookouts!
Our 4th of July weekend started on the 2nd. Usually it begins on the 3rd but this year it started on the 2nd, don't get me started! =) A local buiness holds a celebration for our nation's birthday. Concerts, fireworks, glowsticks, and picnic dinners! We had an unusual sized group this year. Our little circle was busting at the seams!

Seriously, how cute are they?!

We always bring cards and our night is filled with teaching/learning new card games!

Some tickling with the Bubby man!

We even had some friends who are missionaries over seas home and were able to join us!

Towards the end of the night they honor all the branches of the military. In our group alone we had 3 groups represented and 4 men to recognize but the entire lawn was just speckled with standing men and wemon who have served us in some way. Look behind him. Army.

Marines

Standing for her dad in the Air Force. He had to get something from the car but in a group of hundreds there was no quick about it!=)

I'll post more later about the other 3 days!

Update of sorts

I have been doing some hit or miss blogging the last few weeks. I missed several I wanted to post and I am just now getting around to things that I need to do. Now that my afternoon currently looks like this......I am able to hear myself think long enough to post!

I am finishing my job at Church as fast as I can. Coupled with being responsible and detailed this makes for a stressful process. I want to do a good job and leave on a good note. This can be difficult when I am ready to just go. My official resignation date is the 1st. But, our agreement is to finish a few things first. I am leaving at the busiest time of the year and I want to be as big of a help as I can. My hope is to be completely, 100% done by mid-August. We'll see. I need to meet with my boss to see what all she had in mind.

This weekend is gearing up to be pretty busy. My sister and her husband are moving in with us. Everyone is mentally working everything out so it makes for some time of tension. It is going to be a difficult transition on everyone. But, not trying to be the suck up, I am looking forward to it. It will be different but I think it will be fun. I am sure we are going to get on each other nerves but this is where I am so thankful I was raised the way we were. We were never allowed to let our siblings make us "mad," so now as adults "getting along" come easier than to most...I think. The adventures in our house never seem to end!

This bust weekend then flows right into a busy week. Our church is having VBS next week. I am looking forward to it. This is my first year working as an adult. For years, we are talking year(S), I wanted to be one of the people that lead the kids from activity, guess what?! That's me baby! I am really looking forward to it!

Nothing more to really update on. I am prepping for my Peru trip in November. Not physically doing anything but mentally thinking through things. Like thinking through needing to fish my passport out of "a" box in the attic. One of many! Thinking through funds and the possibility of raising...any suggestions are welcomed...! I am also toying with the idea of creating a private blog to update, inform, and speak free'er/ Thoughts? I am pretty closed on here as far as my personal information goes and trying to talk about plans using names and locations could prove difficult!

I think that is pretty much it for now. Still learning the fine art of waiting and loving every minute of it.

Growing up

I want to say Happy Birthday to another one of "mine."
This is K and she had a birthday yesterday. I was so busy getting ready for our VBS it completely slipped my mind!

This child is a sponge. I could always tell when she was just soaking things up. She would sit there and stare at me and not say a word. Later, much later, she would ask questions about whatever it was that she had observed early! It had a way of keeping me honest! She didn't forget a thing!

This is one of my favorite pictures of her. It was unusual to find her not dressed up with her hair done and make up on playing outside or on the floor.

She moved with her family and we have all missed her. This is one of my favorite pictures of Bean and her. This was last year at the good bye party for them!
Happy Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day!

How can I keep from singing?

"My heart is bursting Lord to
To tell of all you've done"

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;make known his deeds among the peoples!Sing to him, sing praises to him;tell of all his wondrous works!
Psalm 105:2

"How can I keep from singing Your praise?
How can I ever say enough?
How amazing is Your love?
How can I keep from shouting Your name?!"
Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!
"How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God"

Way Belated Birthday

Wednesday was this guy's birthday. I am so slow on the ball! Last October I was offered a job that I couldn't turn down, him. I had been working a high stress, time consuming job for the past 15 months. I had enjoyed some of the things I learned but when his parents asked me to watch him the pros WAY out weighed any cons! I have now been watching him for a little more than 9 months. I can NOT believe it has been that long! We have had our trying moments but he has taught me so much! I am more prepared for my future because of my present with him.
He has grown and changed so much. He transformed from a baby to a little boy. He is talking, running, jumping, playing...alone! =) You have NO idea how big that last one is!

This guy has 3 loves, Thomas, food, and swimming! This guys is a fish! No lie. I stuck him in the big pool (18 inches) and he was wading, dunking, going under, in no time. Now he takes a float, jumps in the air and lands in the water dumping more water over his head than if he had just gone under!
Happy Birthday my sweet boy! I am so thankful God brought you into my life! I can not wait to see who God is shaping you to be! Love you so big! Love, LaLa

My BooBoo

This is Boo.
She will be 7 months old next week and she has stolen my heart!

I started nannying boo in February.

She has been so much fun!

For the longest time I just couldn't wait for her to "do" something.
Now she is sitting, crawling, "talking"...I am starting to think I want it to slow down a bit! =)
I love giving her baths and doing her hair (She has the greatest little curls!) and dressing her up!
She is lovingly called the princess around here and she lives up to that title!

Isn't she great?!

The Bug is 5!

Today this guy turns 5! 5! I really can NOT beleive this child is that old!
When I first met my bug he was 10 months old. He had chubby little ankles and wrists. He did not try to walk and had the cutest little fuzzy head!
In the 3 years that I watched him he grew into quite the little boy!

When his mom and dad went to get his brother he stayed at our house. He and I were room mates! We were so good for each other. He was not a morning person. I was not a morning person. We went well together! =)
I would tell him all the time that he was handsome. When we was learning to talk, he walked around saying, "handome Bug." So humble.
He has one stinky blue blanket called night night. I actually miss that thing from time to time!
Happy Birthday my sweet boy!
I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with you!
I love you to pieces!
I hope you have a wonderful Birthday! You are a whole hand now!
